You Reap What You Sow

LETTER TO THE EDITOR

You Reap What You Sow – PDF

Every organization needs its leadership and the Montana Republican Party is certainly no exception to that rule. Very soon the Republican Party will pick a new chair and vice chairperson to lead Montana into the future. As a long-time Republican here in Montana I find myself very frustrated with our current leadership and like many other organizations across our great country problems usually occur over money.

Who controls the Republican Party has a great amount of control of where the money gets spent, which campaigns get it and which campaigns don’t. The abuse can extend past money. An example is leadership can decide who runs for office and those that shouldn’t bother to even file for office. This is mostly done either by withholding money or access to constituents (denying a candidate the opportunity to speak at an event, or have signage placed at an event; deny a candidate access to Campaign Sidekick, or the ability to have field representatives door-knock or handout candidate literature…).

Wyoming Expands Gun Rights, Liberals Panic Over Concealed Carry on Campuses – PDF

The Wyoming legislature took a big step toward respecting the Second Amendment with House Bill 72. It is,

AN ACT relating to concealed weapons; repealing gun free zones; providing for the carrying of concealed weapons as specified; creating a criminal offense for prohibiting entry to a person carrying a concealed weapon as specified; clarifying that only the state legislature may regulate firearms, weapons and ammunition; providing for exceptions; requiring rulemaking; and providing for an effective date.

This is the Cowboy State’s second bite at this apple. Last year’s bill was vetoed, and the usual public school suspects are unhappy about the governor allowing it to become law this time.

UPDATE- The 45% Increase in Cascade County Rural Solid Waste District Assessment – PDF

On Tuesday, March 11, 2025, in the 9:30 am Cascade County Commissioner meeting, Commissioners signed a lease agreement to construct a new solid waste container site in Belt – right across the fence from the recently vacated one. Construction of a new site is loosely estimated between $100,000 – $190,000. And, in an ensuing “Solid Waste Hearing” at 11:00 am, they signed a resolution to seek a loan, up to $300,000. The loan is to be used for the solid waste district program in general. Lastly, in September, 2024, taxpayers were assessed a 45% increase to their Solid Waste tax assessment which infused over $400,000 into the Solid Waste District budget.

Unfunded Liabilities Might DOGE Montana

Unfunded Liabilities Might DOGE Montana

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has made its mark so far, to the tune of $115 billion, according to Polymarket.com, a new website that tracks DOGE’s progress and every red cent that DOGE redirects from what they’re calling “government waste, fraud and abuse.”

So far, DOGE has cut more than 100,000 jobs across the 2.3 million-member federal civilian bureaucracy, frozen most foreign aid and canceled thousands of programs and contracts, despite dozens of lawsuits challenging the legality of those moves. DOGE’s blunt approach has frustrated several White House officials and Republican lawmakers, some of whom have confronted angry constituents at town halls

The Voice of Bureaucracy

The Voice of Bureaucracy – PDF

With 1417 total pieces of legislation in both House and Senate being introduced in Helena this Legislative Session, it is hard not to notice how large government is growing. As a matter of fact, the Montana Legislature website reports 373 pieces of legislation were introduced under the “Government Structure and Administration” title and 172 were introduced under the “Local Government” title.

But government isn’t the only entity gaining momentum during recent legislative sessions. So are lobbyist groups, which are self-appointed boards whose members are mostly comprised of your Elected Officials.
Think of the irony of this practice.

The Most Important Truth in Trump’s Joint Speech to Congress Last Night – PDF

In his joint address to Congress last night, President Trump said many important things that have massive implications. The most consequential thing for our age is when he declared for America, “Our message to every child in America is that you are perfect exactly the way God made you.”

That was undergirded by this foundational human truth, “I signed an order making it the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders: male and female.” To this, he added, America will be “forever ending the lie that any child is trapped in the wrong body.” He noted, “This is a big lie.”
He is correct.

The Leftist Forces Financing Opposition To Trump’s Illegal Immigration Crackdown

“CHINGA LA MIGRA!”

Major cities nationwide resounded with this chant in the weeks following President Donald Trump’s inauguration. Pro-illegal immigration activists took over the streets with protests bordering on riots and engaged in coordination efforts to thwart deportations.

Younger grassroots activists, like those with the local Party For Socialism and Liberation or the MECHA chapters, bolstered their numbers with members of the most well-funded leftist activist operations in the state.

These activist operations are nonprofits financed, in large part, by the wealthiest leftist donors in the nation—especially those dealing in dark money by the millions. But it doesn’t stop there. They’re also financed by reputable U.S. corporations and their leaders—and even federal grants. These nonprofits have similar goals: opening the border, abolishing immigration enforcement, and granting citizenship to illegal immigrants.

The Left is Trying to Get the Right To Doom Pam Bondi – PDF

Democrats have nothing. Well, that’s
not entirely true. They are still adept at
getting Republicans to eat each other’s
lunch. It works like this. Every side has factions
and pundits scrabbling for eyeballs, which
results in (at least) two things. Click-bait BS
headlines and hyperbolic exhortations.
Dems do it, Bees do it, everyone does it- well,
maybe not bees. But you get the point. And
Democrats know that Republicans can be
easily led to any trough filled with alleged
broken Republican promises where they will
heartily feed and spread the poison amongst
themselves.
